About Us

For most people, Dr. Sandeep Verma is a doctor. But long before he earned his stethoscope and medical degree, he was known for something else—his music.

A passionate singer and performer, Dr. Verma was a college rockstar whose love for music often outshone his academic identity. In fact, many of his college friends still fondly call him "Gayak"—the Hindi word for singer. To them, he was a musician first and a doctor second.

As life moved forward and his medical career flourished, music remained an inseparable part of his identity. Yet, he often felt there was no simple way to express that side of himself. While a stethoscope instantly identified him as a doctor, he searched for something that could represent him as a musician—something that could communicate his passion without him having to say a word.

That thought became the seed of an idea.

What if music could be worn?

What if the love for melodies, instruments, rhythms, and artistic expression could be transformed into something people could carry with them every day?

This idea led to countless hours of brainstorming, discussions, and creative exploration. In 2017, the name SWARCANVAS was born—a perfect blend of "Swar," meaning musical notes, and "Canvas," representing creativity, expression, and art.

Soon after, the Swar Canvas logo was created, beautifully capturing the harmony between music and visual art—the very foundation on which the brand was built.

However, Sandeep knew that ideas alone are never enough. A vision can only come alive when it is executed with the same passion with which it was conceived.

During a casual dinner conversation, he shared the Swar Canvas idea with our  close friend, Anjali Paranjape, . Anjali instantly connected with the concept and saw the potential of creating a platform that celebrated music as wearable art.

That conversation became a turning point.

From that day onward, Swar Canvas started taking shape—slowly, patiently, and purposefully—one block at a time.

Among the strongest pillars of this journey was Anjali. She embraced the vision wholeheartedly and stood by it with unwavering dedication. From exploring markets and evaluating vendors to discussing ideas, refining designs, and paying attention to the smallest details, she played an instrumental role in transforming the concept into reality. Whether it was selecting fabrics, reviewing samples, or searching the market for something as seemingly simple as T-shirt tags, her commitment ensured that every element reflected the quality and spirit that Swar Canvas envisioned.

Together, they transformed an idea into a growing brand built on creativity, friendship, trust, and a shared love for music.

Today, Swar Canvas is more than a clothing brand. It is a reflection of a lifelong passion for music and a mission to transform music into wearable art. Through every design, the brand celebrates musicians, artists, and music lovers who wish to express their identity, creativity, and love for music without saying a single word.

It is also a testament to the fact that great ideas rarely succeed alone. They grow when passionate people come together, believe in a shared vision, and work tirelessly to bring it to life.

Because sometimes, what you wear can tell your story better than words ever could.
